We all know living in Michigan it is challenging to get outdoors for some fresh air, especially for the elderly. So those months that we do have good weather are VITAL to maintaining a healthy life! Fresh air and some vitamin D is so good for our elderly. It boosts mood and gives them a multi-sensory experience.
Here at Living Waters we encourage going outside as much as possible when the weather is nice and even for some that are able, in the Winter as well. We have a BEAUTIFUL covered patio that protects the residents from getting sunburnt and over looks Buell Lake.
Below is an article that highlights a little more about the importance of getting outside for our elderly and a couple photos of our patio, residents and the lake!
